So I was all set to wear this pretty red “statement necklace” I got via that swap, and Diego stopped me. “No, no, no. When you have the figure and the shoes, no need to gild the lily.”
(Okay, so he didn’t say “gild the lily.” That’s really more something I’d say. I also say things like “sugarfoot!” Or at least, I’d like to.)
Anyway– I was skeptical.
“Keep it classic!” he insisted. “You taught me that!!”
Clearly I’ve created a monster, here. Just one of the many unintended consequences of this little project.
So what do you think? Does this outfit work? Or could it have used a little color?

I have a question I wonder if you wouldn’t mind answering… What panties (I am ambivalent about that word!) do you wear? I ask because you wear a lot of clingy stuff, and lots of it is in thinish fabrics, yet I never see any kind of line on your hips or waist.
The thing that stops me wearing the fabrics and fit you do is that there will be bumps unless I wear a thing I call the femskin (http://www.femskin.com/ – NSFW!), but which is actually a bra-strap to knees body shaper. Mine isn’t actually tight enough to change my shape much, and that’s fine, but it means a smooth line under anything silky or clingy. And I don’t like wearing it, so I don’t wear those things as much as I otherwise would.
So what’s your secret? I know you’ve said before that you don’t wear Spanx…
