Jet lagged, but back in actionzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

IMG_4961IMG_4963IMG_4958Okay, sorta.

It was a long, exhausting holiday week and a productive Black Friday, but I’m back!  True to my word, I hit 4 Filene’s and 2 Loehmann’s and was back in bed by 11.  Unfortunately, I was back out by 12 for work (!!!) and then a second Thanksgiving with my brother-in-law’s family.  That’s when the double-dose-of-triptophan-slash-total-lack-of-sleep kicked in.  I’m just now awaking from my ~weeklong hibernation.

How about you, those of you who are my fellow (Polar and Non-Polar) Americans?

Any great day-after deals?  Fabulous outfits (yours or your great-aunt’s)?  Alternative celebrations?  Harrowing tales of airport fashion faux pas (plural)?  Pardon me while I wipe the sleep from my eyes and go find a nice fat seal.

Happy belated Thanksgiving!!! Sounds like you had a busy weekend.

I spent my four day weekend in Vegas. I decided to forgo my usual haunts (Target, Wal Mart. Old Navy, etc…) and decided to check out the thrift store action. We go to Vegas a lot (at least 7 times a year) so I have my set of stores that I go to. Of course these stores are close to a casino so I can drop off the ol’ ball and chain. This way, I don’t have to listen to him complain all day long about being forced to go shopping. Ass!!!

Goodwill and Salvation Army had half off on all their clothes. Sweet!!!Savers sales weren’t as good but I did find a few things there. I got 3 cute skirts, 3 dresses, 2 pair of pants, 1 sweater and a pair of terry cloth lounge pants. I also scored a pair of new suede boots and a pair of cowboy boots. Whew!!! Of course, I am not adding in all the knick knacks and various other junk I accumulated.

On Saturday, I went to the outlet stores at Primm. I stocked up on $5 thermal shirts at Old Navy outlet. I found 2 owl neclaces and a pair of $4 shoes at Charlotte Russe. The best was the clearance rack at Ann Taylor. Got two pair of bermuda shorts and a pair of white jeans. The shorts were marked $6.77 each and the jeans were $9.77. They were supposed to be an extra 25% off but the girl at the register took 50% off. Woohoo!!!!

We are going back at Christmas break (in 16 days, the countdown has begun) Gonna check out the 2 other outlet malls and a bunch of other thrift stores I missed this time. Hopefully, I can get in on some last minute Christmas deals.

Hope you are having a Happy Holiday season so far. Can’t wait to see what kind of deals you found on Black Friday.
