I’m not a fan of Lady Gaga’s music. Let me be completely honest, ever since my mom sang “Disco Stick” to me in a Best Buy over the phone she went from harmless pop gimmick to strangle-licious. She is dead to me. But by now you’ve all heard the buzz around the Bad Romance video, and even a hater like me (so much hate) had to recognize how awesome the art of spectacle is.

I’ve wanted to see these Alexander McQueen heels in action on someone besides a model for a long time. The artistry of the shoes are amazing, and the stats on the shoes are unbelievable. I cannot believe that they are 12 inches high. I have no desire to actually wear them, just to look at them on other people’s feet!

I love the visuals, and I’m seeing full on Marilyn Manson, Trevor Brown, and Lost Fish. (check out the gallery). Fans will deny it, but without Mr. Age of Grotesque, Gaga would be Gar-bage (full french accent). Back to the video, Gaga is actually giving me full on Alexander McQueen propaganda in this video and I love every minute of it (minus her dancing and singing).

The razor-blade sunglasses are a nice touch, though I believe Gaga -this much- (which is none) about where the concept came from. Click to view a bigger photo!

“I wanted to design a pair for some of the toughest chicks and some of my girlfriends — don’t do this at home! — they used to keep razor blades in the side of their mouths,” she explained. “That tough female spirit is something that I want to project. It’s meant to be, ‘This is my shield, this is my weapon, this is my inner sense of fame, this is my monster.’

A close up of the shoe from the video. I clipped these from a slideshow on the NY Mag. This shoe has made me think about the insane posture and balance you’d have to have to be able to wear these. Unless, of course the trick is to balance entirely on the front area of the shoe.

Someone buy these and tell me about them. Take pictures of yourself doing perfectly ordinary things in the lobster claw heels, too. I want to see what this looks like when you’re doing the butterfly and the tootsie roll in the club.

The second outfit makes it’s debut in the latter half of the video.

And these shoes make their entrance in the bathtub scene. I love the sculpted heel!
