Yes, that’s me (with my fashionable brother, texting just behind me). I’m waiting in line to pay $5 to juuuust barely make the start of the Pacquiao fight and!!! continue to stand in those heels all night at a divey bar with a severe lack of seating. It was all worth it to see the Pac Man break the record for the most belts won in the most weight classes THAT’S RIGHT SUCKAS!!!!!!!!
Yes, it may be a bit on the loud side, but you betta believe I take every theme-dressing opportunity I can get. I leaned toward the understated at the last fight, but this time I figured I’d make the Filipino flag motif a little more obvious.
Just one problem. Manny keeps fighting dudes with nearly identical flags.
At least one drunken boxing afficianado thought I was a Cotto fan.
Hey, I gave it a shot! And no one can convince me that it my innovative fashion sense didn’t somehow contribute to the success of Team Pacquiao. Yes, I take all the credit.
It’s funny– I’ve never been much of a theme dresser. Not for lack of interest or ingenuity, but for lack of courage. But hey, this year’s challenge has presented me with opportunities too good to pass up.
How about you? Outside of Halloween and caps and gowns and whatnot, do you ever dress with a theme in mind? Or did you leave that all behind once people stopped pinching you for not wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day?
