Temperatures out here are getting out of hand. Not really the weather for double-knit polyester, but I’d been itching to wear this maxi-esque dress and I was getting together with my friend and famed vintage maven, T. Any excuse to overdress, people.
T’s a big fan of Brooklyn’s Re/Dress, a genius of an idea I only wish I thought of first. Re/Dress specializes in vintage and resale clothing in sizes 14 and up. Finally! Stylin’ vintage fashion for plus-size folks. Seriously– check out their slideshow. I mean, hello. Hubba– and may I add?– hubba.
Sadly, there is little such fabulous fatshion in DC, but T and I poked around Macy’s and H&M, where she found a pretty fantastic leopard-print minidress (lest we forget the awesomeness of stretch knits) and got me to try on a cute red number (cute, but not really in the budget).
Then I retired back to my apartment, my balcony and the pinkest of drinks. Mmmm… Refreshingly retro– and one size fits all.
