You find a pair of pants that fit, you stick with ‘em.

GoldBeltGoldShoesThe funniest thing to me about posting my outfits in other Internet communities is that I am constantly complimented on the fit of these pants.

They’re okay.

They’re fine.

And at $6, they were a heck of a deal.

But when I was mentioned this to my husband D, he expressed some disbelief.   Because… they’re not all that hot.  They’re so low-rise that if I lose one more pound, they’re liable to fall right off.  At the same time, they’re a bit tight in the crotchal region– not to mention the thighs.

But on the other hand, this makes them better than at least 96% of the pants I encounter on a regular basis.  Which is pretty much why I didn’t wear pants for an entire year.  Yes, yes, I’m booty-full, but I know I’m not the only one who has trouble pants-shopping.  I guess it’s the combination of waist-to-hip issues, rise issues, inseam issues and thigh issues*, but no one has it easy.  Hopefully the long-awaited clothing reviews (penned not just by me, but a bunch of us “hard-to-fit” folks**) will help us sort this whole mess out.

*In my case, 14-15″ between waist and hips, necessary rise allowance for moderate booty without major cameltoe, short inseam, medium-to-large thighs, big calves, etc.

**In other words, all of us.

Agreed–they do look a little tight on the thigh. But in some pants, that’s the only thing that keeps them up (Mr. Low-Rise is not my friend). On the other hand, loving the shirt! Is it one that you recently washed? Oh, and your hair looks gorgeous (and hand-washed) too!

huh, I never really thought about that… but yeah! Old Navy pants are always SUPER tight in the crotch on me (resulting in the ‘toe). I could go up 3 sizes and eventually, they’d just fall off my waist but totally fit normal in the hip area…

mslshiira– Thanks! My hair is straight to slightly wavy, but if I sleep on it when wet, it gets a nice sort of wave/curl. The top I’d just never worn, in all this time… *smh* The pants I think look totally fine, but I can’t explain the compliments either– I guess it’s all relative, since most pants are just not my friend.

Rachel– I’m pretty sure cameltoe (on a pant that’s not just overall too tight) is all about junk in the trunk taking up all the crotch-adjacent room.

haha maybe I should buy GAP jeans because my problem with jeans is that they’re always too big in the crotch. I usually just wear leggings with dresses in the winter.
