Oh, belts…
- Black A-Line dress (last seen here) from Calvin Klein (Petite) via Filene’s Basement– $22 on clearance
- Lock worn as necklace via an antiques auction
- Reversible belt (other side seen here) by Betsey Johnson via Filene’s Basement– $16 with coupon
- “Agnis” platform pumps from Le Due via Loehmann’s– $25 on clearance

Apparently, too-long belts (see below) can be altered at shoe repair shops for about $10, where they (duh) take them in wear they meet the buckle instead of what I was absolutely not planning on doing with really sharp scissors and a hole punch because it would be stupid.
$10 is nothing to sneeze at, and if you feel like you can find the same or similar belt for under $20, (and assuming there’s no sentimental value), then you might skip it. But it’s nice to know you have a professional, non-barbaric option for your $50 or $100 or really unique… um… beltwear. Who knew?
