Before…
and After!
I’m smiling in the after so you know it’s a makeover.
- Angora-blend red cardigan from La Loft– $9.99 on sale
- Black sweater-knit skirt from Semplice via Filene’s Basement– $2.50
- Enamel frog pendant, a gift circa 1986
- SE Boutique reptile flats via FB– $28
So it’s not the most original choice of haircut (though it takes some inspiration from your recommendations, and it’s superbly well-executed, thanks to Pola at Today’s Hair). And it’s not the most original choice of outfit. But they’re both cute and they both fit me.
Well.
I mean, they “fit” me. Taking photos of yourself every day gives you a little too much perspective, if you ask me– like one of those 5x magnifying mirrors that are the bane of dermatologists everywhere. The skirt– she is getting too big. And I just took her out of the dryer.
Weight loss or gain– intended or unintended– doesn’t mix well with a limited clothing budget. But I’m pretty sure I’m ready to make fashion fit me– the reverse is more trouble than it’s worth, no? So now that my work is (finally) slowing down for the summer, it’s time to whip this bad boy out. And, uh… a couple tutorials or something.
Who knows how to take things in? Out? Up? Around?
What? That’s a thing, isn’t it?
