Outfit of the Mother’s Day.
- Sheer black swiss-dot blouse from Ann Taylor Loft– $12.50 on sale, with coupon
- Camisole from Body by Nancy Ganz via Filene’s Basement
- Houndstooth skirt, last seen here, from Simply Manakin via Marshalls– $19
- Purple peep toe pumps from Next via Filene’s Basement– $15
- Vintage turquoise cuff, purchased as part of an antique lot at a furniture auction

Basically, I need more bracelets and cuffs. Not that there’s anything wrong with this one, but it’s pretty much this, this silver bracelet and maybe two others. I love my pendant necklaces, but sometimes, with high or embellished necklines, they just compete. Hence the need for non-necklace jewelry.
It’s funny, I used to have no problem wearing all black– or all black and white– but now (with rare exceptions) I can’t go out without one or two splashes of color. Guess I’m growing up.

love it. i would have probably tried something brighter (like yellow) but i’m proud of you for using color.
High praise from the queen of yellow!
